I have practiced both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medicine in China for more than 20 years. I received my medical science training at Shandong University of TCM in 1991. In 2002, I was honored to receive my Ph.D. in TCM from China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is the national center for TCM in all of China. Upon receiving my Ph.D., I performed my Postdoctoral research at Beijing Institute of Geriatrics and Department of Neurology, considered the best Neurology hospital in China. I was, and still am, an attending physician at that hospital. For my MS, MD and PHD degrees I focused on the neurology and gerontology, conducting research, treating patients, and teaching. I am proud that my research projects have been beneficial to many stroke victims and Parkinson’s disease patients in China. In 2004, I came to America to accept a professorship at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) in Minnesota, a fully accredited school that graduates its students with Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. I served as one of the principal professors of TCM and the Clinical Director till spring 2010. | The JinAn Treatment for Healing and Disease Prevention
“Jinan Treatment for Healing and Disease Prevention"(JTHDP) comes from ancient traditional folk medicine in China. Many of the healing arts are based on this ancient traditional medicine. JTHDP integrates all of the traditional knowledge and goes beyond to produce a new healing method (new school). The founder of JTHDP, Mr. Jinan Zheng has 40 years of experience in the treatment of diseases, during which he researched many new procedures of healing methods, and paid careful attention to the results of there healing arts.
“The Jinan Treatment for Healing and Disease Prevention" is comprised of five methods or components and integrated into a complete system. These methods are Prevention, Qigong feeling or sensing, Qigong energy treatment, Acupressure, and Tuina. The basic theory of JTHDP follows the TCM meridian acupuncture theory, but it has its own additional specific theory and specific skills. Each of the 5 methods requires specific skills (about to be lost forever). JTHDP can greatly improve the disease prevention function in humans. It is an organic and natural process with no drugs or needles. It treats many conditions successfully. For example: normal colds, all sorts of pain including trauma, strokes, spinal problems, multiple sclerosis, ALS, cancer and emotional stress. His methods treat the same diseases that drugs do - but with no side effects. This treatment method is appropriate for most cultures and religions. His patients are fully clothed during the treatment. This therapy not just focuses on prevention of diseases, but also treat diseases, and it is very inexpensive compared to other medical practices. This is a low cost, highly effective way to bring good health to people in all countries.
We also offer JTHDP training for disease prevention and cure. The basic theory of acupuncture is based on the vital energy, called "qi", that circulates through twelve energy channels known as meridians on the body. Each meridian is associated with a different organ system. The imbalance of the organ system, “yin” and “yang”, and the flow of qi and blood throughout a meridian is the cause of a disease. Acuupuncture can regulate different kinds of imbalance to help heal diseases.
In 1997, acupuncture needles were reclassified to "medical device" by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The National Institutes of Health released a consensus statment in the same year endorsing acupuncture for the treatment of a variety of conditions such as back pain, neck pain, tennis elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome. Acupuncture has been proven to be safe and effective treatment for a wide range of conditions including headache, nausea, back pain, knee pain, arthritis pain, infertility, and emotional disorders. Jing River Acupuncture Clinic uses only sterile, disposable needles.
