Sean X. Yu

Dr. Yu has practiced both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medicine in China for more than 20 years.  He received his medical degree training at Shandong University of TCM in 1991.  In 2002, he received his Ph.D. in TCM from China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is the national center for TCM in all of China.  Upon receiving his Ph.D., he performed his postdoctoral research at Beijing Institute of Geriatrics and Department of Neurology, considered the best neurology hospital in China.  All of his medical degrees focused on neurology and gerontology – conducting research, treating patients and teaching.  His research projects have been beneficial to many stroke and Parkinson’s patients and continue to be used to guide treatments today.  In 2004, Dr. Yu came to America to accept a professorship at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) in Minnesota.  He served as one of the principal professors of TCM and the clinical director until the spring of 2010.  Dr. Yu’s vast knowledge allows him to treat a variety of conditions with an emphasis on neurological diseases such as (but not limited to):  Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, ALS, and disease related to senility.  Dr. Yu sees patients in all 3 locations.

Dr. Cheng Chi

Dr. Cheng Chi Studied Chinese Medicine in 1975. He graduated from Yunnan TCM College in 1982. He has been working for more than 40 years in a Chinese medicine hospital. He is also an professor in China and USA. He came to USA in 1996 and worked in different TCM clinics and schools in Santa Fe, California, Arizona, And Minnesota. He is still working as a professor and clinic practitioner in China and in Minnesota. He is a rich experienced senior TCM doctor.

He is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Minnesota,  Professor and TCM Doctor (China) with forty years of clinical experience. His Specials are Acupuncture and internal Chinese medicine for stroke , man and woman’s infertility, Alzheimer’s disease, asthma, Pain syndrome, depression and treating other diseases like migraine,headaches, hypertension, high cholesterol, Gout, depression, paralysis, stroke and sequelae, male and female health issues, trauma, musculoskeletal disorders, anxiety, insomnia, tinnitus, vertigo, menopausal syndrome, acne, cervical spondylosis, muscle disorders, cold and cough, skin problem, night urination, constipation, etc. He is also specialized at Tuina (deep tissue massage) and Acupressure, Chinese Herbs and herbal formula, and pediatric Tui Na.

Victoria Carroll

During Victoria Carroll is a licensed acupuncturist with the MN Board of Medical Practice and is board certified by the NCCAOM.  She received her Masters of Acupuncture from Northwestern Health Sciences Unviersity in Bloomington, MN.  During her clinical education she interned at Pillsbury House Community Care Clinic, an integrated care clinic in Minneapolis; The Salvation Army Clinic, Burnsville Natural Care Center and Edith Davis Teaching Clinic, and treated a wide variety of health concerns.  Victoria has also completed a Certificate in Gerontology to help seniors cope with the social, psychological and biological aspects of aging.  After tonsillar cancer Victoria experienced dry mouth and was told there was no remedy. Acupuncture restored that function. She now devotes her time to the study of Chinese medicine in the hopes of helping other people who were also told, “I’m sorry, there’s nothing more to be done.”  Victoria is a member of the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association of Minnesota.
