Combining acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Jing River Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine Clinic practitioner Dr. Xiangdong Yu has achieved remarkable results for the past 25 years. Trained both in Chinese Traditional Medicine and Western Medicine (Ph.D. in neurology and geriatrics from Shandong University of TCM), Dr. Yu has over 30 years of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practice in China and Minnesota. Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a natural healing technique which regulates the flow of vital energy (Chi) through the body by inserting needles into the body’s energy pathways. Jing River Acupuncture Clinic uses only sterile, disposable needles.

Cupping

The application of glass cups to create a suction on the skin. This is to relieve stagnation of qi and blood to help relieve the pain, e.g. in sports injury.

Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbs may be given in the form of teas, pills, and capsules to supplement acupuncture treatment. Chinese herbs are used for balancing, harmonizing, and cleaning the body’s systems. Jing River Acupuncture Clinic has a large selection of standard formulas and is well-trained in prescribing them.
